SEPERATION

In New York State, a Legal Separation is approached much like a divorce is with the exception that the courts do not grant a decree.

We take you through the same process we would go through in divorce mediation. Once both parties have the final agreement notarized, the legal separation begins. One year after the date of separation, if both parties agree, the separation agreement becomes the divorce agreement. This agreement may be filed with the courts to make a divorce final.
